Kabba-Bunu, Kogi State – Demonstrating responsive leadership and commitment to the security of lives and property, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, paid a visit to Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area less than 24 hours after a foiled kidnap attempt by armed bandits in the area.

The Governor’s visit was aimed at assessing the security situation firsthand and reassuring residents of the government’s unwavering commitment to protecting communities across the state.

According to reports, the attackers attempted to carry out a kidnapping operation during the incident in Iluke Bunu community Secondary School. While three members of the community were killed by the bandits, security operatives on the ground mounted a strong resistance that resulted in the elimination of one of the criminals during the confrontation.

Governor Ododo commended the courage, professionalism, and resilience displayed by the security agencies and local vigilante groups who responded swiftly to the attack.

He assured residents that his government will do all possible to protect it citizens. The Governor also urged citizens to continue supporting security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could aid ongoing operations against criminal elements.

Residents expressed appreciation for the Governor’s prompt visit, describing it as a demonstration of concern and proactive leadership during a challenging moment for the community.

As security operations continue, the people of Kabba-Bunu remain hopeful that peace will be restored to the affected communities.
