Residents of Iyamoye Community in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State have lauded the commissioning of a solar-powered borehole facilitated by the member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon. (Arc.) Salman Idris.

The project, designed to provide clean, safe, and reliable drinking water, is expected to significantly ease water scarcity challenges in the community while promoting sustainable access to potable water through renewable solar energy. Community members described the intervention as a timely response to a long-standing need, noting that access to clean water is essential for improved public health, sanitation, and overall well-being.Speaking on the impact of the project, residents expressed gratitude to Hon. Salman Idris for prioritising critical infrastructure that directly improves the lives of constituents.

The solar-powered borehole is part of the lawmaker’s ongoing constituency development initiatives aimed at enhancing living standards and expanding access to basic amenities across Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu Local Government Areas.

Residents further expressed optimism that the project would reduce the burden of water sourcing, improve hygiene and health outcomes, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Iyamoye Community.
